Throughout the three days of the Chariots trip, I did not have an encounter with someone where I was able to lead someone to the Lord. But Maki shared her testimony about where the Holy Spirit led her to bring someone to the Lord. She, her husband, and her daughter saved the souls of seven people on the second day of their trip in Graskop. I already gave glory to God that He worked powerfully through them to lead people to Jesus in such a marvelous way. She further shared with me that they continually passed a sangoma (someone who performs witchcraft) in the street. The Holy Spirit gave them peace to not go to her to share Jesus with them, but it is so powerful to me that she saw every person that Maki and her family led to the Lord! I recognize that this was the powerful touch of God that was at work, and I am confident that that lady thought about the True power at work through Maki, Joseph, and, Thadeka!
Sessions
Something that stood out to me in the first session, was when Ginger shared with us that the Holy Spirit is challenged to move when there is conflict between the older generation and youth. She said that these two generations should work together to get the wisdom of God on a matter and solve problems together. This was powerful to me because it also links so beautifully with the way that we should share the Love of Jesus with the unsaved. We should not be led by our own ideas- we should be completely led by the Holy Spirit, because He is the only True one that can bring conviction to a person!
Relationship
On the Chariots of Light Trip, I enjoyed seeing God’s hand at work in every relationship. I had wonderful conversations with many, many people that I did not know beforehand. I had a blast with the Du Toit family- they are truly children that love God, and that really has a hunger and press for the things of God in their lives! I also had so much joy when I spent some time with Mia and her brother, Niklaas- they are beautiful sons of God that has a precious sense of humor!
