We had a “jol” in Dullstroom. From cycling MANY, MANY kilometers to swimming in the coldest blue dam. Our time together as a group of people who love God is always enjoyable, and we are always up for an adventure together.
Our food team…
One thing that I will always cherish about our Dullstroom trip, is our food team. We had to prepare dinner for 50 people one night, which included lamb chops, a green salad, and garlic bread. Unfortunately (but fortunately for the cooking team) we forgot about the garlic bread because Jared was cracking all his dad jokes that night.
After everyone had eaten, we only remembered about the garlic bread and rushed to put it on the fire… Once the 12 loaves had heated up, only our group of 6 were still hungry, so we munched it all alone. Thinking back on the amount of garlic we consumed that day; I am pleasantly surprised that no one made comments about a garlic fragrance among us.
We had sessions with Ps John where he taught us about Daniel, and to hear it for the first time, ministered to my spirit so much. I came to the recognition after the sessions that I have to go even bigger and be bolder for God. I have to stand firm in my faith, and I may never let my guard down.
